Its 11.44pm in the night, and I am watching the 24-hour news channel NDTV about the latest news on the terrorist strike that is STILL on going in Mumbai. I am at a loss of words,… uterly and totally frustrated at the happenings in Mumbai, people are getting shot at and being killed. At the present situation, the only good news (if you can call this one) is that ONE terrorist is caught alive. There are reports indicating that around 40 terrorists from Pakistan came to India via the sea and then stayed a week before launching on the assualt.
There are several questions that is being raised here:
1. How did they manage to escape the Navy, the Coast Guard and the local law enforcement stationed at various points in Mumbai to prevent such activities?
2. Despite being warned by the Indian Mujaheed that Mumbai was in its hit list, why didn’t the State law enforcement agencies did not take preventive measures?
3. If what the captured terrorist is saying the truth, where are the rest of terrorists right now? We do know that around 8-10 terrorists had been killed, so where are the rest? Are there any intellegence on which cities were targeted besides Mumbai?
These are some of the questions that come to my mind and there are a lot more being asked in the media. And speaking of them, Media has finally pulled through showing common courtesy and was responsible in handling such sensitive coverage.
And for Pete’s sake, stop calling it India’s 9/11! This is not an something that every Indian can be proud of! We have suffered many other atrocious incidients. Did we easily forget December 11, 2001 – the infamous Parliment attack? Did it somehow loose importance over a period of time? If another such terrorist strike occurs within Indian borders by terrorists, will the media come out and say the same again, forgetting the ongoing terrorist strike ???
I am not saying that this is not one of the worst terrorists attacks in India, it is for damn sure, but by just saying this is India’s 9/11 all the time by the media is that you are just sensationalization the whole issue!
How many Indians need to die and how many police personal need to sacrifice their lives in the line of fire before Indian politicians take action against terrorists? Where is Raj Thackera and in his MNS activities? He who claims that Mumbai is dearest to him than anything, where is he and what is he doing or rather done in the last 24 hours to help those who are in dire need?
The culprit here according to me is not the terrorists, they are the politicians who constantly manipulate news for their votebank politics. I am truly ashmed today to say that I am an Indian and that I represent a nation which is so proud in saying that they are a truly democratic country. This is no democracy, this is not a country which I was once proud of. This is a nation where politicians rather let people die rather than take definitive action to safeguard those who matter the most.
The whole of India now stands shoulder to shoulder with Mumbai. We, as Indians need to ask tough hard questions and we need answers more than political punch lines.
My heart felt condolonces to those family of the dead and sincerely pray for those who have been injured and hope that they will recover quickly.

Totally agree with ur views on politicians. We are the ones who get slaughtered as a price for their incompetency.
